Thursday, August 7th2:00-4:00 pm - Live Music & Poetry for KidsChildren's poet Jeff Mondak and children's musician Sergio Wals will be visiting Books and Bytes to read poems, sing songs, and sign books and CDs. Jeff Mondak's fun, funny poetry has often been compared to that of Shel Silverstein. Jeff's poems have been published in numerous magazines and books in the United States, Australia, Germany and Sweden. Sergio Wals, originally from Mexico, is a talented singer and guitarist who promises to get you singing along. Sergio Wals' new CD "Michael Closed the Bathroom Door" includes 12 songs made from Jeff's poems. Sergio's CD was just released a month ago, and it is already receiving airplay on children's radio stations. The song "Pluto's Not a Planet Anymore" has been played in planetariums around the world. Watch for our coupons in the circular that goes out to all Gadsden county households in late June.
